Reconnect with Sheila and David Clay

In the late 1960’s David Clay began his journey with our hospitals, working as an assistant administrator at The Hospital for Diseases of the Chest.

Little did he know that an agency worker running late and a chance encounter at the end of a meeting would lead him to appoint his future wife, Sheila Clay, and change his life forever. 

“Friday was extremely inconvenient, but I thought if I don't say yes now, he won't ask again, and he seemed like a nice chap, so we agreed to go out to the theatre”, Sheila explains.
